Biloxi Bands

Biloxi High School is a Mississippi MHSAA 7A high school in the Biloxi Public School District located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Band, Colorguard, Jazz Band, Winter Guard, Indoor Winds, and Indoor Drumline appear at school and community functions throughout the year.  

Biloxi High School is an annual recipient of the Mississippi Bandmaster’s Association Sweepstakes Award, was named a GRAMMY Signature School Semi-Finalist for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years, and in 2015 was named by the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education as its "School of Excellence" for making arts an essential part of education. The Biloxi Public School District was named by the NAMM Foundation as one of the "Best Communities for Music Education" for TEN consecutive years since 2014 and received the SupportMusic Merit Award by the NAMM Foundation in 2015.

The Biloxi High School marching band has recently performed in the Bands of America Super Regional in San Antonio, TX, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Parade, the Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, D.C., the 6ABC Dunkin Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, PA, and was a State Championship finalist in 2017.

The Biloxi Wind Ensemble has performed at the William Carey University Honor Band Clinic, the Music For All Concert Band Regional in Lafayette, LA, and Festival Disney at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Recently, the Wind Ensemble received Superior Ratings and was the 4A Grand Champions at the Smokey Mountain Music Festival in 2023. 

The Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Concert Band consistently receive superior ratings and the Jazz Band has performed at the Beau Rivage Casino, the Hard Rock Cafe, Keesler Air Force Base and many local festivals. The Biloxi Jazz Band is a recent recipient of the “Most Oustanding” Jazz Band at the William Carey Jazz Festival in 2022 and consistently receiving superior ratings.   

The Biloxi Indoor Drumline is a five-time Circuit Champion in the Magnolia Performing Arts Association (formerly Louisiana-Mississippi Color Guard and Percussion Circuit) and the Winter Guard and Indoor Winds have been bronze medalists in the MPAA.

The Biloxi High School Wind Ensemble received the distinction of being named a Class AAAA National Distinguished Award designee by the Foundation for Music Education.
