Engineering 2 students worked as a team to build both a manned and unmanned robot to participate in the USM's Sea Glide Demonstration and USM's Sea Perch Competitions held at the Biloxi Natatorium on Saturday. For the Sea Glide event, students built an unmanned robot and coded it to race against other schools from the coast. This event was a demonstration event that showcased students mechanical and electrical engineering skills and coding abilities. For the Seaperch competitions, our team built an underwater remotely operated vehicle and followed a curriculum that has an ocean and marine engineering theme. Our team won first place in the video and documentation category amongst a field of 20+ competing schools from all over Mississippi and Louisiana. Congratulations!
